“Harvey’s self-titled debut EP pays homage to her roots and the influences of country music her family instilled into her.”—The Connection
“Listening to Alicia Harvey makes you fall in love with the [country] genre all over again.”

Country Artist and Songwriter Alicia Harvey has released her debut self-titled EP (Extended-Play). The production style of the project is immersed in the authentic and unforced vibes of 90s country music. The guitar tones, with their swelling notes, paired with Harvey’s authentic twang and grit in her voice, evoke a sense of nostalgia and longing. This perfectly complements the songwriter’s musings on the memories of fresh new love, heartbreak, and hard-fought life lessons.
“When I started performing in 2019, I never imagined how much my passion for music would take me,” shares Harvey. “Although I had previously released a few singles, I was determined to create something truly original and authentic. With the help of some amazing co-writers, I put my heart and soul into creating this collection of songs that tells the story of my life – from my humble beginnings to where I am today.”
Harvey’s debut EP features previously released and well-received singles “Out of the Blue” and “Losin’.” The 6-song project was produced by Harvey and Jacob Veal and recorded at VR Music Group in Maryville, Tennessee. “I collaborated with local musicians in Knoxville and also hired a few of my musician friends from Nashville to work on the project. I gave them complete creative freedom to express themselves through the music. Once the pieces were ready, we put them together to create the final recordings,” explains Harvey. The project features the exceptional guitar work of Bart Walker (Hank Williams, Jr., Hannah Dasher), the drum beats of Chris Benelli (Charles Esten), Travis Solomon on steel guitar, Jon Foulk (The Dirty Gospel) on keys, Anthony Kesterson on rhythm guitar, and Jacob Veal (Necktie Social) on bass guitar. The musicians’ outstanding creativity and passion are reflected in the final result, which is sure to make a lasting impression on anyone who listens to it.
Harvey finds inspiration from several female country artists such as Patsy Cline, Patty Loveless, Terri Clark, Sara Evans, Ashley McBryde, and Lainey Wilson. These women share stories in their songs that are both heartwarming and heartbreaking. You can hear these same themes in Harvey’s original compositions. She writes about a variety of topics, ranging from the boot-stomping honky tonk crowd-pleaser “Losin” to personal growth and the loss of her mother in “A Better Me,” as well as the carefree joy of love in “Out of the Blue.”
In 2016, Harvey was given the honor of composing a touching song titled “A Little More Country” for a friend who had written lyrics about the loss of her husband. The experience inspired the songwriter to reignite her passion for music, and she considers it one of the highlights of her career so far. In 2018, Harvey participated in “The Voice Off” competition at the Wild Wing Café in Knoxville and was voted as a semi-finalist. As the music industry continues to evolve, Alicia Harvey is an artist who represents the best of the current landscape.
